Ruosniemi Bike Fest
August 2026
In August, Town Hill Center will host a two-day mountain biking event, the "Ruosniemi Bike Fest."
What is "Ruosniemi Bike Fest?"
Ruosniemi Bike Fest is a two-day mountain biking event taking place in August 2026 at Ruosniemi Town Hill Center. This family-friendly event brings together sport enthusiasts, newcomers, and visitors who simply enjoy a relaxed outdoor atmosphere.
Ruosniemi Bike Fest was held for the first time in 2024, and it immediately proved to be a fantastic event that received much praise from the audience. Encouraged by the positive reception, we decided to bring the event back for the 2026 season.
The lifts will run for free for everyone throughout the entire event weekend!
Additionally, all rental bikes and equipment at the center will be available free of charge for the entire event. The program includes competitions on the Bike Park trails, free instruction on lift-assisted biking basics, guided group rides on the slopes, and prize draws.

Note: The detailed schedule and program for the event weekend will be published in July!

Trailbuilding day
The Town Hill Center Trail Crew meets once a week every Monday to prepare for the upcoming 2026 season.
In spring, the agenda includes general maintenance work on the Bike Park, renovations of old tracks, improvements, and also the construction of entirely new lines. Towards late spring and early summer, the focus shifts to finishing work on the trails of the slopes. The agenda for the next build day will be updated on this page the week before the build day.
The weekly build days are a "Dig 'n Ride" style event, meaning after the build, the lifts are set in motion, and we ride the park.
This is an open invitation for everyone to become a part of this awesome group! In the building days, you'll get great riding buddies, opportunities for personal growth, and a chance to influence trails construction, as the final specifications for trails are often decided on-site during the building phase.
You don't need your own tools or prior experience in trailbuilding to participate in the build days. Town Hill Center provides refreshments for volunteers. Everyone is welcome regardless of age or gender!
